Obituary of Joseph F. Quirk II

Joseph Francis Quirk II, age 66, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life on Wednesday January 15, 2014, at his residence in Camdenton. Joseph was born May 9, 1947 in China Lake, California, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Delsordo) Quirk. Joseph was united in marriage to JoAnne Rooks in Las Vegas, Nevada in 1977, and together they shared 36 years of marriage until his death. Joseph graduated from Van Nuys High School in 1965. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in September of 1966, and attended Community College of the Air Force at Maxwell Air Force Base where he studied wire communications. Joseph served during the Viet Nam war, where he received many awards. While stationed in Japan, he played Santa for orphaned children, and more recently he enjoyed playing Santa in Laurie, Missouri for handicap children, and for the Laurie Christmas Parade. Joseph is survived by his wife JoAnne, of the home; two sons, Scott Antifae and Joey Quirk, both of Camdenton, Missouri; one daughter, Jennifer Skoros, of Pass Christian, Mississippi; five grandchildren, Donald, Samantha, Andrew, Joshua and Devin; two brothers, Jack and Bob, both of the state of California; two sisters, Joni Galang of the state of California and Beth Quirk of the state of Washington; along with many other friends and relatives.. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Quirk.
