Obituary of Richard Allen Faulkner
Richard (Dick) Allen Faulkner, age 78, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Dick was born February 4, 1935 in Yakima, Washington, the son of Edgar D. and Elizabeth (Newbill) Faulkner.
Dick served his country proudly in the United States Army from 1956 through 1958.
Dick was united in marriage on May 10, 1956 in Reno, Nevada, to Sarah Frances Jamison and together they shared 57 years of marriage until his death.
Dick was employed by Pascoe Steel for 27 years, starting his career in Pamona, California as a welder, and working his way up to foreman. In 1974, he moved his wife and five children to St. Joseph, Missouri where he continued his career with Pascoe Steel as plant superintendent in Wathena, Kansas. After moving to Louisiana in 1984, then to Washington in 1989 for employment, he retired to Lake of the Ozarks, Camdenton, Missouri, where he worked in maintenance at Osage Beach Premium Outlets for 10 years.
Dick was a member of First Baptist Church, Camdenton, Missouri.
Dick is survived by his wife Sarah, of the home; children Rick Blanding and his wife, Vicki, of Largo, Florida, Jamie Heermann of Lebanon, Missouri, Robin Welmers and her husband, Bernard of Austin, Texas, Kelly Guess and her husband, Todd, of St. Joseph, Missouri, and David Faulkner of Camdenton, Missouri; daughter-in-law, Mary Faulkner of Blue Springs, Missouri; brothers Gene Faulkner of Elk Grove, California and Michael Faulkner of Keno, Oregon; sixteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Aside from his parents, Dick was preceded in death by his step father, Maurice Charles (Chuck) Adams; his brother, Edgar D. Faulkner, Jr., and son, Stephen Allen Faulkner.
