Sarah Gilbert

Obituary of Sarah Ann Gilbert

Sarah Ann Gilbert, age 33, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri after a lengthy illness. She is survived by her two daughters, whom she loved dearly, Hallie Renae Gilbert (age 12) and Karlie Nicole Gilbert (age 7) whom she often referred to as, the only good thing to ever come from me. (although this statement was hardly accurate). Anyone who ever knew her, knew that her greatest desire was to provide her children a safe and loving home to grow into mature Godly women. She continued to the next life never losing sight of this desire. Those special in her life, were husband, Aaron Gilbert of 13 years; her mother Andra Seyl of Camdenton, MO; her father David Miller of Clinton, MO; her sister Denise Miller of Independence, MO; her brother Timothy Seyl of Independence, MO; several nieces and nephews; her friends; many extended family members; and her companion and caregiver Joseph Adams; and Nancy Kinchloe, whom she always called her sister by another mother who was also her caregiver. She was preceded in death by her Grandma Pat Thompson; and her Step-Father Tim Seyl. Sarah resided in Camdenton, MO and graduated from Camdenton High School. Sarah appreciated art in its many forms and was a gifted artist. She attended cosmetology school and took pride in sharing her talent for making people feel beautiful. She had a passion for making someone look as good on the outside as she saw them on the inside. She had a never-ending desire to share the gifts God had given her to better the lives of others. She discovered the love of Christ in the Hiding Place of Branson, MO in 2011, and proceeded to show that love to everyone she met. She walked with Christ always pursuing her relationship with Him, and never ceasing to ask questions about His will for her life. In the latter part of her illness she drew her strength from Christ and was never afraid to ask people to pray for her. Sarah fought a courageous battle and received her reward; no more pain and suffering and a forever home in Heaven. Sarah saw a world that only God could truly provide. Where people failed, she saw hope. She saw the beauty in every person she met. Every trespass was forgivable. Every stranger she considered as friends, including the many people she met and whose life she had touched in the last few months of her life.
