Obituary of James E. Depew

James E. �Jim� Depew, age 82, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. Jim was born February 19, 1932 in Athens, Pennsylvania, the son of Dana and Amelia (Gable) Depew. He was united in marriage April 12, 1952 in Athens, Pennsylvania to Eleanor Allen and together they had shared 62 years of marriage. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army and retired after a 20 year military career. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed woodworking and tinkering around, and going to tractor pulls. More than anything, Jim loved his family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Jim was a member of Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach, Missouri. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor; one son, James B. Depew of Linn Creek, Missouri; two daughters, Charron Hack and husband, Mike, of Springfield, Illinois and Lourae Fitzgerald and husband, Jeff, of Wynantskill, New York; one brother Bill Depew of Osage Beach, Missouri; one sister Virginia Penrith of Meshoppen, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren Jamison Robinson, Brittany Robinson, Justin Depew and wife Shawna, Jessica Fitzgerald, Alexander Hack, Hunter Depew, and Jacquelyn Fitzgerald; one great-granddaughter Lily Eckard; along with several other relatives and friends. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Dana and Amelia Depew; and one sister Doris Bunnell.
