Obituary of Robert Simmons

Robert � J.R.� Simmons, age 50, of Macks Creek, Missouri, left this earth to soar with the eagles on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Cox Health System in Springfield, Missouri. Robert was born February 21, 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Gene and Thelma (Johnson) Snyder. Robert enjoyed his life working on hot rods, hunting and fishing, and spending days on the river drawing. But most of all he was known for trouble! Robert was a devoted and caring father, grandfather, friend and boyfriend, who will be missed dearly. Robert is survived by his daughter; Kristen Reed and husband, Jeff, of Camdenton, Missouri; his adopted children Kelcie Miller and Kyle Simmons, both of Springfield, Missouri and Jesse Bebee of Cross Timbers, Missouri; his grandson Ryan Reed; his life partner, Gretchen Swena of Macks Creek, Missouri; his mother Thelma Simmons of Independence, Missouri; one sister, Pam Westbrook of Overland Park, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.. Robert was preceded in death by his father, Gene Snyder; and one brother, Danny Simmons.
