Obituary of Louie Durl Johnson

Louie Durl Johnson, age 85, of Macks Creek, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at his home in Macks Creek. Louie was born January 15, 1936 in Caddo, Missouri, the son of David and Nellie (Hugley) Johnson. Louie was united in marriage January 2, 1959 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Cleota Martin, and together they shared 55 years of marriage until his death. Louie served his country proudly in the United States Air Force; a military career spanning from 1954 through 1974. Louie was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and taking care of his farm. In his spare time he enjoyed music, both playing and singing. More than anything, Louie loved his family and his extended family, and cherished the friends he had made throughout his lifetime. Louie is survived by his wife Cleota of the home; one son, Jerry Johnson and wife, Michele, of Hughesville, Missouri; one daughter, Theresa Cecil and husband, Ted, of Boonville, Missouri; six grandchildren; one brother, David Johnson and wife, Laquita, of Altus, Oklahoma; two sisters, Verda Reed of Lawton, Oklahoma and Linda Butler of Phoenix, Arizona; along with several other relatives and friends. Louie was preceded in death by his parents, David and Nellie Johnson; and one brother Ralph.
