Obituary of William Herbert Stoner

William Herbert (Bubby) Stoner was born December 2, 1942 near Macks Creek, Missouri, the son of Oral William and Nona A. (Blurton) Stoner. He died Friday, May 9, 2014 at his home in Roach, Missouri, surrounded by his family. Bubby, as he was known, was saved at an early age and was a member of Mission Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Macks Creek High School. He was united in marriage in 1965 to Joyce Ann Green, and together they shared 49 years of marriage until his death. Bubby loved to work and was a successful businessman, entrepreneur and farmer. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather and loved spending time with family and friends. Some of his favorite activities were fishing, listening to his grandkids singing gospel music, and riding Harleys with his group of good friends. He was a great mechanic and enjoyed building performance motors, both auto and marine. Bubby is survived by his loving wife, Joyce, of the home; three sons, Mark Stoner and wife, Cynthia, of Macks Creek, Missouri, Kevin Stoner and wife, Andrea, of Preston, Missouri, and Justin Stoner and wife, Elizabeth, of Macks Creek, Missouri; three daughters, Christina Calvert and husband, Ernie, of Camdenton, Missouri, Kimberly Puig and husband, Mike, of Climax Springs, Missouri, and Kathleen Gunter and husband, Jason, of Hermitage, Missouri; one brother, John Stoner and wife, Sam, of Lebanon, Missouri; one sister, Jean Lyons, of Lebanon, Missouri; thirteen grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oral and Nona Stoner; and an infant son.
