Obituary of Francis Dean Anderson

Francis Dean Anderson of Lake Ozark, MO died Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. He was born April 22, 1930 in Rockford, Illinois to Arthur William Anderson and Mildred Leona (Moline) Anderson Carlson. Dean attended schools in Rockford, IL, receiving an AA Degree from Rock Valley Junior College in the 1970�s. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, Rockford, IL and married to Louise Mary Cardine on December 28, 1957 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Rockford, IL. He is a member of Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, Osage Beach, MO. Dean is survived by his devoted and loving wife Louise of 56 years; a son David & Kit Anderson of Canton, GA; a daughter Jeanine & Mark Dirks of Monticello , Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Sagen & Sydney Anderson of Canton, GA, Hanna & Daniel Anderson of Noble, OK, Benjamin & Emily Dirks of Monticello, IA; a brother Robert & Nancy Anderson of Machesney Park, IL; two sisters-in-law Deloris Fenn Anderson and Lorraine Anderson of Rockford, IL; and many nieces and nephews, especially Robert & Judy Anderson of Lake Ozark, MO. Dean is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Anderson & Mildred Carlson; a brother, Richard Eugene Anderson; and a son, Phillip John Anderson. Dean ran Anderson Insurance for the last 18 years. Prior to that he worked at Sola Optical, Eldon, MO and Muskogee, OK; and Rockwell International, Rockford, IL and Tulsa, OK. Dean was active in the Chamber of Commerce, Eldon, MO and was instrumental in getting the caboose for downtown Eldon. He was a Past President of Lake Ozark Lions Club; a former member of the Osage Beach Elks Lodge; Scottish Rite, Freeport, IL; United Methodist Men, Harper Chapel; Winterset Dance Club, Lake of the Ozarks; Saturday Nighters Dance Club of Columbia, MO.
