Obituary of Barbara A. McCormack

Barbara A. McCormack, age 73, of Roach, Missouri, departed this life Thursday, June 12, 2014 at her residence in Roach. Barbara was born July 25, 1940 in Eugene, Oregon, the daughter of Robert J. and Alfreda M. (Schimmel) Rickabough. Barbara had devoted her life to mission work and was a part of the New Tribes Mission in Roach, Missouri for 35 years. She was an avid reader and also enjoyed decorating. Barbara had a deep faith in the Lord and was known for her encouraging, spiritual words. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who helped create many wonderful memories for her family and friends. Barbara is survived by one daughter, Melanie Bartron and husband, Paul, of Roach, Missouri; four grandchildren, Paul Bartron, Jr. and wife, Jessica, Justin Bartron and wife, Autumn, Heidi Whitney and husband, Shelby, and David Bartron; and five great-grandchildren, Keath, Owen, Talitha, Lydia, and Esther. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Doug; her parents Robert and Alfreda Rickabough; and one brother, Karl. Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
