Obituary of Gertrude Allison

Gertrude Allison, age 74, of Ulman, Missouri, departed this life Sunday, June 15, 2014 at her residence in Ulman. Gertrude was born December 26, 1939 in Blue Jacket, Oklahoma, the daughter of Orval and Alice Irene (Ellis) Lee. Gertrude was united in marriage June 6, 1970 in Kansas City, Missouri to Richard Allison and together they shared 35 years of marriage until Richard�s death in 2005. Gertrude was a loving and devoted helpmate to her husband Richard and a caring and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed her time spent as a homemaker. Gertrude loved spending time outdoors and especially camping. She also enjoyed traveling and attending family reunions. Gertrude loved her family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them. Gertrude is survived by four sons; Donald L. Reed and companion, Pamela Lee, of Caldwell, Kansas, Ronald Reed and wife, Billie, of Ulman, Missouri, Richard Allison and companion, Tracie Knach, of Kansas City, Missouri, and Steven Allison and wife, Stacy, of Kansas City, Missouri; one daughter, Sherrie George and husband, Keith, of Lawson, Missouri; one brother Bob Lee and wife, Judy, of Kearney, Missouri; one sister Mary Burris-Brooks, of Kansas City, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends. Aside from her husband, Richard, Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents, Orval and Alice Lee, and five brothers, Larry Lee, Wayne Lee, Dale Lee, Elmer Lee and Walter Lee.
