Obituary of Mary Lou Cernik

Mary Lou Binkley (Gade) Cernik of Linn Creek, Missouri died Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at her home in Linn Creek. Mary Lou was born September 25, 1934 in South Norfolk, Virginia to Vesper and Marjorie Binkley. Mary Lou was an amazing mother and grandmother. She will be remembered for her strength, love and perseverance as well as her great cooking, gardening, and hospitality; and most notably for spoiling her grandchildren. She worked at Western Electric and Swift Packing Co. in Omaha during the 1960�s and 70�s, before she and her husband retired in 1984 to the Lake of the Ozarks in Linn Creek, Missouri. Mary Lou is survived by her children, Steve Gade of Sunrise Beach, MO, Cindy (Gade) and Steve Dingman of Newport News, VA, and Karen Gade of Linn Creek, MO; her twin sister Carol (Binkley) and Ben Trapp of Linn Creek, MO; her grandchildren, Wesley Gade, Matt Gade, Justin Gade and Ryan Dingman. She is preceded in death by her mother Marjorie (Cunningham) Binkley, her father Vesper Dale Binkley, her sister Judith Jean (Binkley) Latimer; her first husband George I. Gade, Jr.; her second husband John E. Cernik of 32 years; and her sister-in-law Karen Cernik.
