Obituary of Alfred Edwin Rathert

During the morning hours this past Friday, August 1, 2014, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, came and took Alfred Edwin Rathert, age 87 of Osage Beach, Missouri to be with Him in Heaven. Alfred was born on April 20, 1927 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Edwin and Alvina (Lebien) Rathert. Alfred was united in marriage to Verna Rathert on August 5, 1950. Together they shared 61 wonderful years until her death in 2012. Alfred was a loving and devoted Christian husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He not only provided for his family but also guided them. He lived according to �God said it � I believe it-that settles it�. He loved his children unconditionally but the best gift he ever gave us as children was love to our mother. Alfred was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. Alfred is survived by his son, Mark Rathert and wife Marcia, of Dixon, Missouri; two daughters, Kim Bull and husband Andy, of Castro Valley, California and Pam Slawinski and husband Russ of Osage Beach, Missouri; nine grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.
