Obituary of Frank H. Frandsen

Frank H. Frandsen, of Kaiser, Missouri, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 in Osage Beach, Missouri. Frank was born in Ballwin, Missouri on October 8, 1932 to Julius and Marian Frandsen. He was united in marriage to Audrey M. Mauer on June 4, 1960. Together they shared 54 years of marriage until his death. Frank is survived by his wife Audrey of the home; son Scott and wife, Cheryl, of Camdenton, Missouri, daughter Sherl of Jefferson City, Missouri, son Stuart and wife, Renee, of Kaiser, Missouri; granddaughter Dr. Erin Frandsen of Union, Missouri; grandson Eric Frandsen of Camdenton, Missouri; brother Vaughn Frandsen and wife, Leola of Ballwin, Missouri; sister Betty Schmidt and husband, Bill, of Prescott, Arizona; and brother Bob Frandsen of Eureka, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents Julius and Marian Frandsen; one brother Paul Frandsen and one sister Elsie Rekart. Frank served in the Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1955. Frank moved to the lake area in 1960 and began a long and distinguished career in public service. Frank served as one of the first alderman for the City of Lake Ozark when the city was incorporated. He served for over 35 years on the Lake Ozark Fire Department. Frank served in many capacities for the fire department. He was the Fire Chief when the department became a Fire Protection District in 1976, he served as the district�s first full time Fire Marshal and was known and respected throughout the state fire service community. Frank worked for many years at the LO Gas Company and later owned and operated his own metal fabrication and welding company that manufactured fire apparatus and other items. In his spare time Frank enjoyed working on old cars, refinishing antique fire apparatus and toys, working around the house, working in his shop and spending time with his beloved dog Buddy. Frank was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
