Obituary of Bob Bradbury

Bobbie �Bob� Bradbury, age 82, departed this life on Monday, September 22, 2014 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. Bob was born April 24, 1932 in Centerville, Iowa, the son of Mary Jo and Otto Bradbury. He graduated from Rolla High School in Rolla, Missouri. Bob was married on November 17, 1956, in Rolla, Missouri to Dorothy �Dottie� Bradbury and together they shared 56 years of marriage until Dottie�s death in February 2013. Bob served in the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War as a Gunners Mate. After his military service, Bob worked for the Singer Sewing Center in Rolla, Missouri as Assistant Manager, Manager, and Area Manager until opening Waynesville Sewing Center in Waynesville, Missouri in 1959. Bob moved Waynesville Sewing Center from downtown Waynesville to Lynch�s Furniture and Appliance in St. Roberts, Missouri in the late 1960s. After �official� retirement in 1987, Bob continued to repair sewing machines until one week before his passing. Bob loved �The Lake.� In his younger days Bob could be found out fishing at dawn and water skiing later the same day. Even in his last week of life, Bob was out on his personal water craft enjoying the hills that he loved. Bob never passed up an opportunity to share a pitcher of Margaritas and a few laughs with friends and family. Every day was a celebration of life. Bob was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a dedicated and loyal friend. Surviving are daughter Deborah Popp and husband, Tom of Lee�s Summit, Missouri; grandson Alexander Popp of Overland Park, Kansas; sister-in-law Fran Reisinger of O�Fallon, Missouri; sister-in-law Ginny Lozen of Arnold, Missouri; sister-in-law, Ilene Norcross of Peoria, Illinois; nephew Michael Lozen and wife Cathy of Barnhart, Missouri; niece Susan Stahl and husband Al of Arnold, Missouri, along with other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dorothy; his parents, Mary Jo and Otto Bradbury, and brother Bill Bradbury.
