Obituary of Barbara Ann Curlis

Barbara Ann Curlis, age 64, lost her fight with cancer on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at her home in Camdenton, Missouri. Barbara was born February 21, 1950 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She is the fourth daughter of Vincent H and Betty Louise Curlis of Liberty, Kansas. Barbara was raised in Liberty, Kansas where she attended Liberty Elementary School. She then proceeded to graduate from Field Kinley High School in Coffeyville, Kansas. After high school she married Dan Denny Sr. but was widowed 6 short months later. She later met Junior Dale Gregory and was married in Lebanon, Missouri. Dale Gregory adopted her son Daniel and they moved to Camdenton, Missouri. While living in Camdenton they went on to have two more sons, Jerry and Ben, and a daughter, Carol. She devoted her life to raising her family. After spending many years as a homemaker, she rejoined the workforce in the title insurance line of work. Barbara enjoyed sewing, crocheting and loved anything crafty. She was an animal and music lover and always had a cat sitting on her lap. Barbara later became a member of New Beginnings Church in Camdenton. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her 4 kids, 15 grandkids and 4 great grandkids. She was a very crafty,loving and kind person. No matter what she was doing she always had a smile on her face. Barbara was one of the most caring special people to ever step into our lives. Barbara was most definitely one of a kind. She opened her arms and accepted everyone as part of her family. She was always there for everyone. She was a shoulder to cry on, someone to laugh with and an amazing human being. We love and miss you mom, grandma and great grandma.
