Obituary of Kenneth Ray Parsons

Kenneth Ray Parsons, age 85, of Linn Creek, Missouri, departed this life Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Kenneth was born September 2, 1929 in Branson, Missouri to George Parsons and Ida Luper Parsons. Kenneth served in the infantry in Korea from March 1951 to December 1952; and also for 5 years in the reserves. Kenneth was united in marriage June 4, 1954 to Carol Vivian Syler and to this union one daughter and two sons were born. Kenneth is survived by his wife of 60 � years, Carol Parsons; his son David Parsons and wife, Sharrie; his son Ralph Parsons and wife, Mary; four grandchildren, Kimberly Walters and husband, Dennis, Jenna Parsons, Chris Parsons, and Kenneth W. Parsons; two great-granddaughters, Hailey Walters and Reesa Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Ida Parsons; his brothers Lee, Bill, and George; his sister Lois Bradley; and his infant daughter, Janet. Kenneth loved life, his family and friends. He was owner of a corporate world-wide scanning electronic microscope company in California. He enjoyed rock hounding, and making jewelry. He was a photographer at heart; always taking photos of everything and everyone. Kenneth volunteered at the Camden County Museum whenever he could.
