Obituary of Karen Ann Biselx

Karen Ann Biselx, 61, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Citizens Memorial Health Care in Bolivar, Missouri. Karen was born in Columbia, Missouri on April 20, 1953, the daughter of Leslie and Jacqueline Wisuri. Karen was an accomplished artist and designer her entire life, excelling in drawing and painting at an early age. She loved life at the lake and could be found swimming, skiing, SCUBA diving or fishing any time she had the chance. After graduating from School of the Osage in 1971, she went on to earn a Bachelor�s degree in Interior Design from the University of Missouri. While attending Mizzou, she was an active member of Kappa Alpha Theta. On September 11, 1976, Karen was united in marriage with her husband Barry. Together they owned multiple successful businesses and were avid travelers. Living and working on the Caribbean Sea with Barry was one of the highlights of her life. Karen was the owner of Design Line, an interior design firm at the lake. Her notable work was featured in multiple publications including Kansas City Homes and Gardens. She was also active in her community through philanthropic organizations such as Beta Sigma Phi. Karen will always be remembered for her kind heart, her contagious laugh and her desire to help other people and animals. She is survived by her husband Barry Biselx of Lake Ozark, daughter Anna Biselx of Las Vegas, NV, mother Jacqueline Wisuri of Hartsburg, MO and sister Kimberly Wisuri of Hartsburg, MO. She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Wisuri. In addition to services listed a Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, November 19, from 4:30-7:30 at Willmore Lodge in Lake Ozark. All friends and family are welcome.
