Obituary of Bobby Gene Bowman

Bobby Gene Bowman, son of Allen C. Bowman and Eva V. Webster Bowman was born February 22, 1942 in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Bob was saved and baptized in his early years at Goodwin Calvary Baptist Church and later joined First Baptist Church in Camdenton, Missouri. Bob graduated from Stoutland High School with the class of 1960 and went on to complete his training at Toledo Ohio School of meat cutting. He married his high school sweetheart Nathalis Kay Petterson November 9, 1963, and together they enjoyed 51 years of marriage. In his younger years Bob worked at Parish Market and United Super Market in Camdenton. Later, he was co-owner of Dairy Sweet Drive-In in Camdenton and worked as an agent for Farm Bureau Insurance Company. Prior to retiring, Bob owned and operated Country Bob�s Meat Market and Grocery in Camdenton for 15 years. Bob enjoyed working on cars and boats, remodeling homes, managing and maintaining his rental properties, and traveling in his RV. After retirement he would spend the winter months in Pass Christian, Mississippi, where he enjoyed boating on the Gulf of Mexico, and spending time with his friends at Wolf River Resort. Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be remembered fondly and missed greatly by those who knew and loved him. Bob is survived by his loving wife, Kay, of the home; his son Michael Bowman and daughter, Sherrie Ann Bowman, both of Camdenton, Missouri; his sisters Helen Goodwin and Letha Claxton, both of Lebanon, Missouri; three grandchildren, Cody Wiles and wife, Becky, Shaylyn Marschke, and Dillon Marschke; his nieces, Jessie Murphy Edwards, Rhonda Burns and Kim Fowler; along with several other relatives and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Allen and Eva Bowman; and his brother, Earl Bowman.
