Obituary of Jody Ash

Joda Ray (Jody) Ash, Sr., age 58, of Brumley, Missouri, departed this life Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, Missouri. Jody was born December 29, 1955 in Tuscumbia, Missouri, the son of William Walter Ash and Naomi Burton Ash. He was united in marriage December 6, 1975 in Brumley, Missouri to Trudy Plemmons, and together they shared 39 years of marriage until his death. Jody owned and operated his own landscaping company. He truly enjoyed the outdoors and the beauty of flowers, trees and nature. He was fond of building water fall features in his landscaping schemes and in his spare time enjoyed fishing. Jody was a member of Brumley Baptist Church. Jody is survived by his loving wife, Trudy, of the home; his sons, Joda R Ash, Jr. and wife, Chantel, of Brumley, Missouri, and William Wayne Ash and wife, Johnna, of Iberia, Missouri; his daughter Stephanie Bartlett and husband, Michael, of Kaiser, Missouri; his mother Naomi Ash, of Brumley, Missouri; his brother Sonny Amos of Brumley, Missouri; his sisters Sharon Knotts of Iberia, Missouri, Diann Prater and husband, Larry, of Crocker, Missouri, Carol Amos of Brumley, Missouri, Glenda Duncan and husband, Doug, of Brumley, Missouri, Reta McKee and husband, Jim, of Iberia, Missouri, and Terry Wells and husband, Randy, of Crocker, Missouri; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild; along with several other relatives and friends. Jody was preceded in death by his father, William W. Ash; and his brothers, Phillip Ash, David Ash, and Billy Ash.
