Obituary of Daniel J. Hendrickson

Daniel John Hendrickson, age 78, entered the gates of Heaven on Friday January 2, 2015 at his home in Iberia, Missouri. Daniel was born January 2, 1937, in Columbus, New York, the son of Millard and Ardoth (Calhoun) Hendrickson. Daniel served his country proudly in the United States Army. He attended various churches and he believed strongly in God, family and friends. He worked in a paper factory in New York, a boat factory in Richland, and finally at Fasco Industries in Eldon where he retired. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved deer hunting, but especially fishing. He gave more fish away than most people caught in their lifetime. He also liked to pitch horseshoes and play cards with family, friends, and neighbors. He was a devoted friend, always ready to lend a helping hand in any way he could. Daniel was married to Virgie Barker who preceded him in death. Later he married Clara Rhodes Cochran. Surviving are his wife, Clara, six sons; Evert Winfrey and wife Kathy, Rocky Hendrickson, David Hendrickson, Clifford Dusenberry and Rusty Dusenberry and wife Jennifer, and Leon Dusenberry; four daughters, Brenda Dusenberry, Rose Ryan, Kathy Burris and husband Boyd, and Kim Busch and husband Randy, one sister, Harriett Simons; twenty eight grandchildren; fifty five great grandchildren; fourteen great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents Millard and Ardoth Hendrickson and his first wife Virgie, two sons Ricky and Roy Hendrickson; two daughters Linda Weaks and Mary Perry; four brothers, Willard Hendrickson, Tom Hendrickson, Lee Hendrickson and Paul Hendrickson; four sisters, Anna Hickling, Evelyn Johanneson, Sarah Jennings and Judy Stage, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and seven nephews. Daniel was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a dedicated and loyal friend.
