Obituary of Anna Lou Lester

Anna Lou Lester, age 82, of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life Saturday, March 28, 2015 at her home in Camdenton, lovingly surrounded by her family. Anna was born October 29, 1932 in Iaeger, West Virginia, the daughter of William Oscar and Rosa Beaulah (Roberts) Stacy. She was united in marriage January 5, 1951 to Charles Ronald Lester and together they shared 49 years of marriage before his death in 2000. Anna is survived by her daughters, Teresa Jo Palvin and husband Eric, of Memphis, Missouri, Ronda Faye Ritchie and husband Rick, of Camdenton, Missouri, and Phyllis Dean Harper, of Camdenton, Missouri; sons, Kenneth Dale Lester, of Keytesville, Missouri, and Raymond Douglas Lester and wife Linette, of Carrolton, Missouri; sister Kitty Lenada Gilliam, of Flint, Michigan; brother, Henry Hubert Belcher and wife Charlotte, of Sterling Heights, Michigan; twenty- seven grandchildren, fifty eight great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren along with many other relative and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Lester; her parents William and Rosa Stacy; her son Ronald Wayne Lester; her daughter Deborah Jean Lester; her brother James Gordon Belcher; her sisters, Phyllis Dean Snyder, Barbara Jean Walls, Ella Francis Fuller, Nina Ruby Rogers, Marie Sue Walls, and Charottle Lee Hall; and granddaughter Charlene Renea Carpenter. Anna loved playing cards with her family, listening to music and singing, and sitting around telling stories about her past. She also enjoyed working in the yard, and volunteering in the community. She loved playing games, especially "BINGO" with her grandchildren, and she had always loved math. "Helping the kids count was something I always enjoyed doing." She attended First Assembly of God Church in Camdenton. In addition to visitation listed--additional visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, prior to services at the church.
