Obituary of Dick Allen Bertram

Dick Allen Bertram, age 88, of Lebanon, Missouri, departed this life Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Christian Health Care North, Lebanon, Missouri. Dick was born October 20, 1926 in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Reimer and Ethel (Young) Bertram. After graduating high school, Dick was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served his country proudly during World War II. He later graduated from Drake University. In 1952 he married Elizabeth J. Ivey, who preceded him in death May 9, 2014. They enjoyed 62 years together until her death. Dick worked for Bond Drug and Walgreens for 34 years. In 1982 he retired and relocated to the Pomme De Terre Lake area where he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Dick is survived by his two daughters, Barbara and husband, Don Lobdell of Lebanon, Missouri and Annette Hough of Springfield, Missouri; two sons, David Bertram and his wife, Shellee, and Joel Bertram and his wife, Karen, both of Lebanon, Missouri; one sister, Lois Bertram of Prairie Village, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reimer and Ethel Bertram; his wife, Elizabeth; and one son, Eric W. Bertram. No formal services are scheduled at this time.
