Obituary of James Alvord

Jim Alvord Jr., age 70, resident of Lake of the Ozarks died Sunday April 12, 2015 at Lake Regional Health System, Osage Beach, MO. James was born January 5, 1945 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, son of James Sr and Ellen Moser Alvord. Jim served in the United States Army between 1968-1970. Jim was in the Insurance industry for over 30 years. Since becoming a resident at the Lake, he owned and ran the Lakeland Market. For the past several years he has made sure all Golfers had clean golf carts. His passion in life was Michigan State sports and golf. Jim is survived by his sister Patricia Alvord of Tucson, Arizona; his son Brandon Alvord of Kansas City, Kansas; his daughter Erin Lenheim and son-in-law Brad Lenheim of Gladstone, Missouri. and favorite (only) ex-wife Sid Williams of Parkville, Missouri also 9 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents James L. Sr. and Ellen Alvord of Sun City, Arizona. A family and friends gathering will be held on April 25th 2015 at 5902 NW Whispering Oaks Lane Parkville, Missouri.
