Larry Anderson

Obituary of Larry Dean Anderson

Larry Dean Anderson; master painter (he did forget more about painting than any of us could ever hope to learn, ha!), pool hustler, poker shark (he just hated to take our money, ha!), deal of the century treasure hunter, never missed a shot deer hunter, hardest working man around and self-professed Robin Hood, cashed in his chips Thursday morning as he was surrounded by his children and grandchildren. He always did know when to hold'em and when to fold'em. Larry is survived by his daughter; Kristy (Anderson) Krueger; her husband, Shawn Krueger; and their children, Jacob, Brandon and Jordan; his son, Jeremy Anderson; his wife, Kristle Anderson; and their daughter Avalyn; his Mother, Elizabeth Liz Anderson; his siblings Monte Anderson, Artie Anderson, David Butch Anderson & Sherry (Anderson) Freeman and their families; his uncle Jim Anderson and his family; his cousins Willie Anderson, Bob Anderson, Sandy (Anderson) Sullivan and their families; as well as some of his best friends Sue Burton, Frank & Sandy Hewitt, Patty Schenewerk & Tammy Johnson and Christina Brian, and many, many others. Larry was preceded in death by the love of his life who he missed every single day; his wife, Debra Anderson and his Dad, Lloyd Anderson; among many others. We just knew he was with us as we went through the task of choosing the urns for his ashes. His children saw a wooden box and just felt like that represented him, that was our Dad.until his grandson, Jacob said, "Sure, that might be how we see him, but Im just sure he saw himself like this." He reached for THE shiniest and most decorated urn in the place and held it up. It was beautifully decorated in gold and it shined the most gorgeous green color, there was even a four leaf clover on top for luck. Everyone laughed as we realized, of course Jacob was exactly right, he saw himself as the brand new Cadillac that gleamed and shined a little brighter than the rest. Gosh.come to think of it, he really did gleam and shine, didnt he? Our world was just a better place during these last stolen years with him in it, but they were so much more than stolen, he certainly wasn't playing with scared money.he lived them to the fullest and left us with memories that will make us smile for a lifetime. We learned what a wonderful man our Dad was and he gave us the gift of him being the best Grandpa, Gramps and buddy his grandchildren could have asked for in life. Grandpa, are you listening? The youngest of his grandchildren, Miss Avalyn, was more than sure about a couple of things when she found out that her flower picking, trampoline jumping, treehouse building buddy and Grandpa was not going to be coming over from now on. She simply said, He had fun here with us, now hes with God. Grandpa always knew she was smarter than all of us! Please, as you read this much too short summary about our Dad, please remember the beautiful lesson he left us with instead of being sad, he wouldnt want that. He spent his last years, months, days and hours making some amends, having a ton of fun, learning patience, and building the most beautiful relationships with his children and grandchildren. He was taken too soon, yes, but rather than dwell there, lets celebrate the time we had with the amazing man that we called our Dad, our Grandpa, our Gramps, our Father-in-law, our Son, our Uncle, our Brother, our Nephew, our Best Friend, and our Cousin.
