Obituary of David Richard Lepovitz

David Richard Lepovitz, age 91, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. David was born December 13, 1923 in Scandia, Iowa the son of William and Anna (Eskra) Lepovitz. David proudly served in the United States Army from 1943 through 1946 after being honorably discharged. He was united in marriage August of 1957 to Elizabeth Thompson, who preceded him in death April 17, 2007. David owned and operated Pagliai's Pizza in Ames, Iowa until retiring to Lake of the Ozarks in 1979, where his love of the water included many hours of fishing and boating. David was an avid sports fan, but especially enjoyed watching the Kansas City Royals and St. Louis Cardinals baseball teams. Among his many hobbies , he was a skilled woodworker who enjoyed building things. David was a member of American Legion Post 5060 in Madrid, Iowa, and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Lake Ozark, Missouri. David is survived by his daughter Rene Pagliai and husband, Armond, of Iowa City, Iowa; one sister, Phyllis; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife Elizabeth, David was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles; two brothers; two sisters; and one grandson.
