Obituary of Jeffrey R. Tavis

Jeffrey R. (Jeff) Tavis, age 47, of Climax Springs, Missouri passed away July 4, 2015 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Jeff was born in Kansas City, Kansas on October 8, 1967, the son of Thomas and Carolyn (Hubbard) Tavis. Jeff was employed with Woodland Scenic in Linn Creek, Missouri for the past seven years. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, and loved playing video games, canoeing and arrowhead hunting. Jeff is survived by his mother and step father, Carolyn and James Schnakenberg, of Camdenton, Missouri; three brothers, Mike Tavis, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, Tim Tavis, of Oskaloosa, Kansas, and Jerry Tavis and wife Karen, of Gardner, Kansas; two sisters, Karen Finkle and husband Bobby, of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Savanna Schnakenberg, of Camdenton, Missouri; two step brothers, Randy McHenry of Kansas City, Kansas, and Jeff McHenry and wife Tracy, of Gardner, Kansas; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Thomas Tavis, and one brother Phillip Tavis.
