Obituary of Richard Alan Myrtue
Richard Alan Myrtue, Sr., age 65, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, was called to Gods Kingdom on Sunday July 5, 2015 from his home in Sunrise Beach.
Rick was born October 4, 1949 in Rural Prairie of Missouri, the son of Christ Myrtue and Wanda Wisecarver-Myrtue.
He is survived by his mother, Wanda; his sister, Carol Myrtue; his children, James Myrtue, Tricia Myrtue, Richard Myrtue Jr, and Chelynne Lefrancois; his grandchildren, Nathan, Evan, Zachary, Caleb, Lucas, Marisol, Joshua, Pebbles, Shadee, Dylan, Raymond, Jesse, Sydnie, Daniel, James Jr, and Zechariah. He is also survived by cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his many step children, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Christ Myrtue.
Rick was loved by a vast community of friends throughout the lake area and across the nation. Rick was the kind of man whom loved very deeply his step children as his own. He raised them with love and never once placed any labels by calling them his step kids or allowed them to feel any different than his own biological children. That is the kind of person that he lived to be. Rick was a devout Patriotic Constitutionalist whom always reached out to help his fellow man; constantly giving a voice to the voiceless, and openly speaking out against Big Brother Government. He was known as a man whom took the saying One mans junk, is another mans treasure very literally, making a use for everything he found.
Rick was a lover of The Lord and had been baptized by his son James into Gods Grace. Recognizing that Jesus Christ as his savior. He will be missed on this Earth, but overjoyed when we see him again in Gods Heavenly Kingdom.
