Obituary of Norman L. Beal

Norman L. Beal, age 75, of Rocky Mount, Missouri, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015, at his residence in Rocky Mount. Norman was born June 16, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Art and Ruth (Louisemore) Beal. He was united in marriage to Ivy L. Rhoads who preceded him in death. Norman graduated from the University of Missouri, Columbia, where he played football. He went on to play for the St. Louis Cardinals Football team. After his sports career, Norman worked in sales, and most recently was employed with the Missouri Lottery. Norman enjoyed living at the lake, where he could be found fishing, boating, and skiing. Norman is survived by his son Norman Robert Beal of Waverly, Florida; his daughter Cheri Padgett and husband, Howard, of Freeport, Florida; three grandchildren, Nick Beal, Courtney Holliday, and Chelsi Allen; three great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Devron, Jr., and Ivory; his brother Art Beal of St. Louis, Missouri; his niece Lynn Ann Miller; his nephew Jeff Beal; his great nephew Travis Beal and great niece Lane Miller; along with several other relatives and friends. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Ruth Beal; and his wife, Ivy.
