Obituary of Janet Powers

Janet Powers, 95, passed away at her home in Lake Ozark, Missouri on September 6, 2015. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri on November 21, 1919, and spent most of her childhood and early years in Great Bend, Kansas. She later moved to Wichita, Kansas where she met and married her husband, Dr. Kenneth D. Powers. They were married June 30, 1960. While they resided mainly in Wichita, they also spent as much time as possible at their beloved home in Lake Ozark, Missouri, where their favorite pastime was being on the lake on their cruiser the "MeeMaw". She is preceded in death by her parents, Homer Roy and Anna Catherine Brown, and husband Dr. Kenneth D. Powers. She is survived by her daughter Patricia Hackney, grandaughter Shari Tompkins and husband Bobby, grandson Mickey Clayton and wife Heather, great grandson Cooper Clayton, and great grandaughter Carson Clayton.
