Obituary of Billy John Blair

Billy John Blair, 74, of Glendale, Arizona, passed away Friday, September 19, 2015 in Glendale. Billy John was born February 21, 1941 in Camdenton, Missouri to Ralph Loyd and Burla "Ruth" (Osborn) Blair. Billy John attended Camdenton High School and graduated in 1959. He then attended Southwest Missouri State University for one term before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps where in three years was awarded two meritorious promotions attaining the rank of Corporal (E4). One might call Billy John a "Jack of all Trades" as he had several careers; auto repair, general construction, electrical, plumbing, installing electric solar hot water heaters, repairing all types of electric motors, telephone switch wiring, cable rigging, car salesman, and train car inspector, just to name a few. He excelled in any endeavor that he attempted; marksman, pro-rodeo, bowling, pool player, and avid reader, preferring, but not limited to western themed novels, dancing and playing shuffleboard. Billy John was a quiet man, but always the nice gentleman. Billy John is survived by his brother Robert Ralph Blair; two nephews, Bob and Steve; and five nieces, Teresa, Sheryl, Jackie, Angela and Dee Ann. He was preceded in death by his parents; his infant brother James "Donald"; and his sister Wilma Ruth (Blair) Bethel.
