Obituary of Janice Ruth Cizek

Janice Ruth Cizek, aka “The Queen” aged 75, died peacefully in her home in Camdenton, MO on October 8, 2015. Janice was born on April 1, 1940 in Perth Amboy, NJ, the daughter of Charles and Ruth Schick. In 1961, Janice married the love of her life, Robert Cizek, and together had three beautiful children, Joyce Berra (husband Dan), Gregory (wife Kathleen) and Garrett Cizek (wife Jamie) all who live in St. Louis. Janice was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with her kids. She was always there to cheer them on at their sporting activities. Janice was the heartbeat of the family and will truly be missed. She will be loved and cherished forever and her beautiful spirit will live on in our hearts. Janice was a proud Gamma Phi Beta sorority sister at Miami of Ohio University. She enjoyed traveling around the world with her husband, spending time with her friends and was always ready for fun. Janice loved to play bridge and she loved to quilt but her favorite hobby was golf. She was very active in the Missouri Women’s Golf Association including Lake Valley. Janice was also very proud to be President of the Newcomers/Longtimers Association at the Lake. Janice loved being a member of the Camden County Theatre Group where she helped promote and act in several plays throughout the years. Janice was extremely talented in so many ways. Besides being a loving and devoted wife and mother, Janice was blessed to have 8 incredible grandchildren ranging from age 11 to 25. Each one of them had a very special place in her heart and those memories will last forever. Janice loved those kids more than anything. Janice is survived by her husband Robert Cizek, and numerous relatives including her brother Charles Schick, her sister Nancy Turley, and her baby sister, Carolyn Bailey, who she is currently playing golf with in heaven. Janice loved to have fun with her family and friends so a Celebration of Life will take place 2pm, Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Lake Valley Country Club in Camdenton, MO.
