Obituary of Katherine Marie Vassalli

Katherine Marie Vassalli, crossed over on October 13, 2015 having reached the age of 91 years 10 months, at Windsor Estates of Camdenton, Missouri. Katherine was born on January 31, 1924 in Maplewood, Missouri. She is the daughter of the late John and Mary (Emht) Westermann. She was united in marriage to Ronald Vassalli Sr. on February 21, 1945, in Rock Hill, Missouri. She was the devoted wife of Ronald Vassalli Sr., dear mother of Melanie Murphy and husband Joe; Ronald Vassalli Jr. of Sullivan, Missouri; Kathy Adams and husband Jim of Marshal, Missouri; and Vittorio Vassalli of Sullivan, Missouri. Grandmother to Sean, Trina and Bridget Whitener, Brady and Ronald Vassalli III, James and Kathy Adams, and Brianna and Vittorio Vassalli II. Great grandmother to Garrett, Jacen, Bailey, Hanna, Halie, Emily, Katie, Sammi, Joel, Rebekah, Levi and one great great-grandchild Lucas. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Ted, Linus, Kenneth and John Westermann; One sister, Charlotte (Bernard) Schneider; one grandson Matthew Whitener; and son in law Gene Whitener. Funeral Services will be held at Eaton Funeral Home 347 North Clark Street, Sullivan, Missouri on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the Eaton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery in Sullivan, Missouri. Memorials donations are suggested to Camden County Historical Society in lieu of flowers. Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
