Obituary of Bernald Jeffries

Bernald Jeffries, 81, of Montreal, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, October 14 2015 in Ozark Rehabilitation and Health Care, Osage Beach, Missouri. Bernald was born October 31, 1933 in Linn Creek, Missouri to William and Josephine (Henson) Jeffries. Bernald joined the United States Marine Corps and served his country proudly from 1953-1956. He was united in marriage to Ruthie Messer on July 14, 1953 in Montreal, Missouri. They were married 62 1/2 years. Bernald loved fishing, doing crossword puzzles, playing scrabble and tinkering in his shop, building all sorts of things. Bernald was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Camdenton, Missouri. Bernald is survived by his wife, Ruthie, of the home; one daughter, Sheilla Hellenga and her husband, Brian, of Richmond, Virginia; two grandchildren Greg and Grant; along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers and sisters. Graveside Services were held at Freedom Cemetery in Montreal, Missouri on October 18, 2015.
