Obituary of Roy Clinton DeWeese
Roy Clinton DeWeese, 75, of Lake Ozark, Missouri passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 in his home after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.
Though his body was frail and tired, his spirit was full of grateful appreciation to be able to draw another determined breath every second he was graced on earth. Roy passed away peacefully in his afternoon nap and left this world to walk tall and with ease and breathe deeply in heaven with loved ones gone before him, who welcomed him with open arms.
Roy was born December 13, 1939 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to James and Mavis DeWeese.
Roy was a devoted husband, loving father and pawpaw. He was a retired Army Veteran who actively served his country in the Vietnam War.
Roy is preceded in death by his mother and father; sister Nancy DeWeese; sons Deno DeWeese, Joe DeWeese and Tony DeWeese; and his grandson Connor.
Roy is survived by his wife and best friend of 28 years, Beth DeWeese of the home; his brother Jack DeWeese of Jackson, Mississippi; his children Deborah DeWeese of Austin, Texas; Jim and Angie DeWeese and Clint DeWeese of Mendenhall, Mississippi; Tara and Tracy Jeffries of Fergus Falls, Minnesota; April and James Jeffries; Brynda Waller; and Craig (CJ) and Erin Sullivan all of Lake Ozark, Missouri; 23 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
