Obituary of Gertrude A. Baldwin

Gertrude A. Baldwin (Sunshine), age 78, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life, Friday, October 23, 2015 at her home in Osage Beach. Gert was born March 26, 1937 in Oberstdorf, Germany. Gert , in her youth lived in Lindau, Germany. At the age of 18 she moved to Munich, Germany and then at the age of 22, she moved to Canada where she met Frank. Gert was united in marriage to Frank Baldwin on May 16, 1959 in Toronto, Canada. They shared 56 years of marriage together. Frank and Gert relocated to St. Louis, Missouri in 1960 then to Chicago and later to Michigan, finally retiring in 2010 to Osage Beach, Missouri. After raising her children, Gert became an accountant and a computer systems analysis. She also received her real estate license. Gertrude loved to ski in the mountains around Switzerland and row in the skiffs of Bodensee. She was a no nonsense kind of person and had very high standards. Gert is survived by her husband, Frank; and her sons, Edwin and Buckley, of Glen Allen, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents. She will be sorely missed by her husband, sons and many many friends.
