Obituary of Charles Eugene Stites

Charles Eugene Stites (Chuck), age 51, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015 at his parent's home in Camdenton, Missouri, after a long struggle with cancer. Chuck was born January 30, 1964 in Sumter, South Carolina, the son of Robert (Bob) and Patricia (Pat) (Wilkinson) Stites. Chuck worked as a welder and tree trimmer in the St. Joseph area. He had an incredible work ethic. Chuck was an avid lover of the outdoors. He loved to spend time on his grandfather's farm, and remembered some of his best times spent there with the Scott cousins. Chuck is survived by his daughter Lori Ann Contreras and husband, Tom, and granddaughter Briley ReAnn Contreras, of St. Joseph, Missouri; his parents Bob and Pat Stites of Camdenton, Missouri; his brother Robert Stites and wife, Johna, of Montreal, Missouri; his sister Sheri Christensen and husband, Stan, of Lee's Summit, Missouri; his nieces, Jessica West and husband, James; his nephew Jerrick Stites and wife, Amber; his aunt Barb Matheny and husband, Jerry; his uncles Ken Stites and Byron Stites and wife, Norma; his great nieces and nephews, Preston, Peyton, Dalton, Daniel, Hannah, Dunkn, Haylee and Cole Christensen; his special grade school friend, Kevin Ruby; along with several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Elmer and Lela Stites; and his maternal grandparents Charley and Sue Wilkinson.
