Obituary of William J. Blackmore

William J. Blackmore, age 84, of Osage Beach, Missouri, departed this life Monday, October 26, 2015, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. William was born July 28, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of William and Mathilda (Weidner) Blackmore. William served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. William owned and operated his own sewer construction business for many years before moving to Osage Beach, Missouri. He used to race cars back in the 1950’s. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and deer hunting. William is survived by his wife Katherine of the home; his sons, Michael and Jon, who live in Illinois, nine grandchildren, Jason Sullivan, Amanda, Julia, Lauren, Kristin, Brittany, Samantha, Kayleigh and Tori; thirteen great-grandchildren; one step- son, William Meyer; two sisters, Mary Putnam, from the State of California, and Joan Wolf, of Bangor, Michigan. William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mathilda Blackmore; two children, William Phillip and Sue Ann; and one sister, Barb Temchuk.
