Obituary of Betty Jean Norton

Betty Jean Norton, age 68, of Piedmont, Missouri, departed this life Monday, October 26, 2015 at Clark Mountain Nursing Home in Piedmont, Missouri. Betty was born November 29, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Robert Henry and Addie Mae (Bame) Norton. Betty was employed most of her life on assembly line work at a key manufacturing company. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing and crafting, especially doll making, and fishing. More than anything though, Betty loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Betty is survived by her son Timothy Norton and wife, Lura, of Linn Creek, Missouri; her daughters Tammy Garrett and husband, Ron, of Macks Creek, Missouri, and Donna Chaffin and husband, Jesse, of Piedmont, Missouri; her brother Gordon "Butch" Norton of Kansas City, Missouri; her sister Joyce Kirk of Kansas City, Missouri; eighteen step-grandchildren; ten great step-children; along with several other relatives and friends. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Addie Norton; her son Michael Hanson; and her sisters, Eva Mae Rinehart, Ruth Smith, and Darlene Norton.
