Obituary of Phyllis Verlee Wright

Phyllis Verlee (Royer) Wright, age 85, was born March 4, 1930 and passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Osage Beach, Missouri. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Jessie Royer; her husband, Robert J. (Bob) Wright; and two brothers. Phyllis is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Salkil, Mary Jo Summers, and Sarah Howdeshell; one son, Mike Wright (Debbie); and two brothers. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Bob and Phyllis moved to Osage Beach in 1961 and purchased Blue Summit Resort. After selling the resort, she and Bob owned and operated a construction company at the lake. She was a realtor, and she served as an elected official on the Osage Beach Board of Aldermen. She retired from the Camden County Assessor's Office. She loved quilting, sewing and spending time with her church friends. She was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who will be missed dearly.
