My beloved second mother, Puggie, has meant more to me these last 25 years than words could possibly say. A few months after Shanna passed away, which was several years after my own mom died of cancer, Noble was incredibly persistent that I meet his Pug. A greater connection has never been made: a girl who needed mothering, and a lady who needed "daughtering"! She never said I was " Like a daughter," she would look me in the eye and say, "You ARE my daughter!". I know she loves me and my children as much or more as my own blood relatives. It may be hard for some understand, but if you know Puggie, you know her limitless capacity for love. She loved us well, taught me well, and is an unforgettable part of who I am. More than words could say, I love you, Mom. God blessed me when he gave me YOU!

Where do i start?? I have so many great childhood memories with Puggie!! My sister and i spent many summer days (and nights) at Puggie's house. Some of my favorites are "Puggie oatmeal" (LOTS of butter and sugar! ), going to the creek to catch crawdads and pick blackberries, the Butterfimgers she would bring to us in the car as a treat when she went shopping at Carl's, her voice singing "Frankie and Johnny"...and last but not least, the timeless advice she once gave me to "never "let one" while you're dancing with a boy". :-) Puggie had a great sense of humor, endless patience, and a heart full of love. I am a better person for knowing her and she will be greatly missed!!!

I send my deepest sympathy on your loss. I met Puggie when she was admitted for a back surgery. Her greatest concern was for her husband, Noble and his care while she was recovering. I was so impressed by her love and commitment. We stayed in contact over the years and through her loss of Noble and later marriage to Russ and all the health problems I never knew her to lose her joy and kindness to all around her. Now she is an angel in truth.

Puggie will be missed by many; she made a lasting impression on everyone she met. My parents, J.B. and Katherine, were sadden to hear the news, as they had enjoyed her friendship for years. My mother and Puggie had a very special connection, as both had lost daughters, and found comfort in each other and enjoyed many years as neighbors. I know Mom wishes she could be here, but traveling is hard for Dad. You have our deepest sympathy; we will all keep our cherished memories of Puggie in our hearts.

Puggie was a very special lady, she cared about everyone and always would give us a hug. She had a talent of making everyone feel happy when she was around. Her greatest asset was her kindness to others, I hope we will remember her by acting the same way. Puggie will be missed greatly.

My maiden name was Popkess and I remember Puggy from when I was a little girl going to Arrowhead. Puggy was sincere, caring, happy and positive - always! Our family enjoyed visiting with Puggy each time she attended our annual Popkess family reunions at the lake. I have many photos of Puggy and she always wore a smile. She was a special lady.

I grew up with Shanna. We were neighbors from the time I was 2 until I moved away in 1986. Puggy was a second mom to me considering I spent most of my time as a child at her house. She brought la la also called chocolate milk to us every morning to wake us up. I have many wonderful memories of her and loved her dearly. Rest in peace Puggy. I'm so happy you will finally be reunited with Shanna again.
