Obituary of John E. Watson

John E. Watson, age 53, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 13, 2015 at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri surrounded by his family that loved him dearly. John was born October 3, 1962 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, the son of William Andrew Watson and Betty Jane (Rush) Watson. John married Jody Goodale in a private ceremony on November 23, 2001 in Maui, Hawaii. John worked in the financial industry for more than 20 years, most recently serving as the President of Osage Financial Group in Osage Beach for the past 6 years. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, boating on the lake, and spending time with his family. John is survived by his wife, Jody; four sons, Marcus Watson and wife, Nancy, of Charlotte, North Carolina; Aaron Watson of Kansas City, Missouri; Tyler Benson of Kansas City, Missouri; and Brock Benson of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters, Madison Watson of Peoria, Illinois and Victoria Watson of Osage Beach, Missouri; one granddaughter, Addison Watson of Charlotte, North Carolina; one brother, Mike Watson and wife, Nicki Macfarlane, of Austin, Texas; one sister, Debra Watson of Kappa, Illinois; one nephew, Drew Watson; one niece, Shelbi Macfarlane; along with several other relatives and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents and one brother William Watson, Jr. No formal services are scheduled at this time.
