Obituary of Helen M. Zolman

Helen M. Zolman, age 96, of Osage Beach, Missouri, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2016 at Lakeside Meadows in Osage Beach. Helen was born November 7, 1919 in Bald Knob, Arkansas, the daughter of William Preston Smith and Luella (Johnson) Smith. Helen was united in marriage June 22, 1935 in Cardwell, Missouri to John D. Zolman, who preceded her in death May 9, 1982. Helen worked as a bookkeeper for Christian Board Publishing Company in St. Louis, Missouri. She was an avid reader and enjoyed writing as well. She was a member of Grace Fellowship Church in Osage Beach. Helen is survived by two daughters, Janice Maynard of Lake Ozark, Missouri, and Peggy James of Troy, Illinois; five grandchildren, Marisa McDonald, and husband, Jim, Gina Jackson and husband, Joe, Lisa Kirk and husband, Mark, Dana Cates, and Kirsti James and husband, Dennis; and seven great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents William and Luella Smith; her husband John D. Zolman; her brother Leon Smith; two sisters, Ruth Irene Smith and Velma Myer; and two great-grandchildren.
