Obituary of Margaret Lucille Nielson

Margaret Lucille Nielson, age 82, of Kaiser, Missouri, departed this life Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at her residence in Kaiser. Margaret was born April 6, 1933 in Burlington Junction, Missouri, the daughter of Floyd and Eva May (Puett) Griffey. She was united in marriage December 28, 1950 to John Dale Nielson who preceded her in death November 21, 1991. Margaret was a loving and devoted wife and helpmate to her husband and a caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great-grandmother. She enjoyed her role as a homemaker for many years as well as working for Wal-Mart in Osage Beach for 15 years. In her spare time, Margaret enjoyed reading. Margaret is survived by her son Dan Nielson and wife, Sara, of Valley Springs, California; her daughter Lucy Cline and husband, Mike, of Crystal Lake, Illinois; her brother James Marvin Griffey and wife Eddice, of Olathe, Kansas; her aunt Charlotte Prater of Savanna, Missouri; five grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; 9 step great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; along with several other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Eva May Griffey; her husband, John Dale Nielson; her daughters Peggy Avey and Cynthia Peterson; her brother Donald Griffey; and her sister Wilma Irene McKenzie.
