Obituary of Margaret Ann Lear

Margaret (Marge) Ann Lear, 85 of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away January 18, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Marge was born May 31, 1930 in Osceola, Iowa to Warren and Florence (Leeps) Bailey and Albert (Pat) Kalkes, became her stepfather at a very early age. She graduated from Clarke Community High School. Marge and Truman William (Bill) Lear, were married on Feb 6, 1949 with 3 children blessing this marriage. She worked as a dispatcher at the Clarke County Sheriff’s office until moving to the Lake of the Ozarks. The children found as teenagers not much could get past Marge while she was working in this position. After moving to Camdenton, Missouri, Marge enjoyed 30 years of selling real estate until her retirement. This was the perfect occupation for her as she was a people person and made everyone feel special. Her clients always became her friends! Marge will be remembered for her incredible energy, determination and pride in being able to do things herself. She hated being waited on. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Lear; daughter, Patti Lear; mother, Florence Kalkes; father, Warren Bailey; stepfather, Pat Kalkes; sister, Jean Wills; and granddaughter, Heather Lear. She leaves, to cherish her memories, daughter, Vicki (Dennis) Breckenridge, Clive, IA; son, Dale (Jan) Lear, Camdenton, Mo; brother, Darrel (Skip) (Connie) Bailey, Gulf Shores, AL; step-sister, Angie (Roger) Gilbert, Roland, AR; Sister-in-law, Lula Gonseth, Osceola, IA; grandson, Jason (Stacy) Lear; great grandkids, Becca and Truman, Camdenton, MO; granddaughter, Jamie Lear; and great granddaughters, Trinity and Allyssa, Camdenton, MO. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Per Marge’s wishes, no service is planned and her body will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to Compassus Hospice, Osage Beach, MO or American Diabetes Association, Tour de Cure, 4430 114th St. Urbandale, IA 50322.
