Obituary of Henry L. Berger

Henry L. (Heinie) Berger, age 87, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, departed this life, Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Eldon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Eldon , Missouri. Heinie was born January 6, 1929 in Alton, Illinois, the son of Henry and Edna (Park) Berger. Heinie served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Heinie was married on October 23, 1954 in Miami, Oklahoma, to Frances Palmer who preceded him in death on June 29, 2013. Heinie was employed with Olin Aluminum for 30 years as an Industrial Engineer in New Martinsville, West Virginia. In December 1983 he and his wife moved to Lake Ozark, Missouri and purchased Robertson Marina, later changing the name to Bergers Marina. He was a member of Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church, in Lake Ozark, Missouri and the Knights Of Columbus. Heine was also a member of the Elks Lodge in Osage Beach, Missouri. Heinie and Frances were snow birds during the winter months. They would spend the winter at their home in Ft. Myers, Florida with friends from the lake area. Heinie is survived by his six sons; Phillip Berger and long time companion, Dr. Kathy Bisges, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Henry Berger III and wife, Michelle, of Eldon, Missouri, Matt Berger and wife, Carolyn, Lake Ozark, Missouri, Mike Berger, of Lake Ozark, Missouri, Mark Berger, of St. Louis, Missouri, Eric Berger, of St. Louis, Missouri, thirteen grandchildren and six great- grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Frances; his parents Henry and Edna Berger; his sister Jeanie Frasier; and grandson Joshua Berger.
