Obituary of Dorris Nevin Foster

Dorris “Nevin” Foster Baker age 95, formerly of Camdenton, Missouri, departed this life Friday, March 11, 2016 in Casa, Arkansas at her daughters home. Nevin was born on June 13, 1920 at home on the farm. She attended a one room schoolhouse in Freedom. She also attended church at Freedom and was baptized in the creek next to the house. In her twenties Nevin worked at Fort Leonard Wood where she met and married her husband Philip Baker. After he was discharged they moved to Colorado and years later they moved to New Mexico and moved once again to Arizona before moving back to her birthplace. Nevin was a warm and wonderful person to be around. She was an avid golfer who won many trophies . Nevin was the last of her generation of the Fosters. She had two children, Mark, who died at age 53 and Lynn who is still living. Her grandchildren are Michael Baker, Nick Baker, Jennifer Matteo-Thompson and Joseph Matteo. She also has three great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
