Obituary of Raymond Booth

Raymond Booth, 84, of Eldon, Missouri, departed this life Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles, Missouri. Raymond was born May 7, 1931 in Ponca, Arkansas. He was the son of Ralph and Olga (Bergstad) Booth. Raymond served in the Army from 1948-1952. He was a Korean War veteran. Raymond retired from truck driving for Safeway Grocery after more than 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, doing yard work, remodeling, hunting and going out to eat at the Silver Dollar in Eldon, Missouri. Raymond is survived by his son Darren Booth of Madison, Kansas; his daughters Rhonda Baynard (Ken) of Negaunee, Michigan, Glenna Booth of Warsaw, Missouri, and Brenda Carnahan (Greg) of Carrollton, Georgia; two sisters, Olivia Butler of Kokomo, Indiana and Dorothy Jackson of Colorado; along with several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Olga Booth; three brothers, Robert (Bob) Booth, Ralph Booth, and Carroll E. Booth; brothers-in-law Donald Jackson and David B. Butler; sister-in-law Betty (Givens) Booth; nephew Donald R. Booth and niece Nancy L. Booth. Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach, Missouri. Interment will follow at the Eldon City Cemetery in Eldon, Missouri.
