Obituary of Jacquelyn Arnold

Jacquelyn (Jackie) Arnold was born May 28, 1926 in Hughes Springs, Texas to Cecil Truitt and Oma jack (Holland) Truitt. She departed this life on April 23, 2016, at Osage Beach Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage Beach, Missouri at the age of 89. Jackie attended Kilgore College in Kilgore, Texas where she studied interior design. She was a proud member of the Kilgore Rangerettes in college. She was later united in marriage to Robert Smith Arnold on June 5, 1946 and to this union two daughters were born; Pamela Bobette Arnold and Peggy Jean Arnold. Jackie spent twenty-eight years traveling with her husband in the military and had the pleasure of traveling to many different countries. Upon their retirement in 1967 from the military, she moved to Stoutland, Missouri and continued her life as a homemaker and dedicated mother and later pursued a job at HD Lee in Richland, Missouri as a quality control supervisor for many years while making many long lasting friendships. When she retired from HD Lee, she enjoyed the remainder of her life with her family and friends and traveling often to Texas to spend time with her brother, sister, and their families. She was a member of the Stoutland Methodist Church and Eastern Star Lodge in Richland, Missouri. Jackie loved her family and friends deeply. Her greatest joys were her daughters and their families, as well as her grandchildren, which held a special place in her heart. She will be loved and missed deeply. She is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jeanette Thompson; and one brother, Robert (Walt) Holland Truitt. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela Bobette Burgess and husband, John, of Butler, Missouri and Peggy Jean Hunt and husband, Lynn, of Macks Creek, Missouri; six grandchildren, Todd Burgess, Johny Burgess, Staci Bunch, and their spouses, Justin Davenport, Nicole Hunt and Brittany Williams; many great-grandchildren, great, great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and close friends. May she rest in peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
