Obituary of Martin J Korpus, Jr.

Martin J (Marty) Korpus, Jr., age 76, of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his home in Sunrise Beach. Marty was born July 10, 1939 in Evergreen Park, Illinois, the son of Martin J Korpus, Sr., and Leona (Lenartson) Korpus. Marty was united in marriage August 12, 1961 in Chicago, Illinois to Joan Draghi and they shared over 54 1/2 years of marriage together at the time of his death. Marty worked as an electrician and was a member of the Local 134. Marty is survived by his loving wife Joan; one daughter Kathy M. Korpus of Sunrise Beach, Missouri; one son John R. Korpus and wife, Cheryl, of Frankfort, Illinois; two grandchildren, Taylor Ann Korpus and Faith Lee Korpus; along with several other relatives and friends. Marty was preceded in death by his parents.
