Obituary of Lester L. Bauer

Lester L. Bauer, age 80, of Camdenton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. Les was born June 4, 1935, in Burdett Kansas, the son of Lester and Hazel Bauer. He was united in marriage September, 18, 1955, in Burdett to Bernie Plush. Les served in the Army before graduating from WSU in 1959, in which time he began his career with IBM which expanded over 35 years. Les was an avid golfer, it was his passion. He also loved to dance, tell a good joke, and boat on the lake. Lester is survived by his wife, Bernie; three children, Kelly and wife Billie, of Overland Park, KS; Kayla Lindeman of Overland Park, KS, and Kristi Kramer and husband John of Olathe, KS; three grandchildren, Ryann Hemphill and husband Nate, Chase Lindeman and Cheyenne Lindeman; one brother, Grover Bauer and wife Judie of Tulsa, OK. Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 22, 2016 at McGilley&Hoge Johnson County Memorial, 8024 Santa Fe, Overland Park, KS 66204. Visitation beginning at 5:00 pm, Celebration of Life Service starting at 6:00. In Lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to Alzheimer’s Association.
